from the city their role collecting information on target which included a militia group some say was behind the attack and suspected members of al qaeda. she should have known better a flight attendant brought a loaded gun to work and it accidentally went off. jacquelyn looby made her way through security. she was taken to a private screening room where an airport police officer tried to unload the gun but shot a round into the wall instead. luckily no one was hurt. she has a permit to carry the gun. she claims she forgot she had it with her. >> a man pushs his wife from a car and saves her but tragically was killed himself. the 21-year-old driver of a

black maza slam nude a mini van which carried a pakistani diplomat before spinning out of control and hitting the 80-year-old. the driver has not been charged but they are investigating. it was politically motivated vandals who broke into his campaign headquarters in staten island new york this weekend. they found cinder blocks in the windows. a computer hard drive containing campaign files had been erased. everything was backed up luckily. >> there's no place like home land at the emmys. >> and the emmy goes to "home land." >> the show time series won for best drama, best writing, best actor and best actress claire danes. >> the entire cast is just uniformly sort of shamelessly

talented and committed i am so proud to be in their family. >> modern family snagged four emmys including the top sitcom prize. so congratulations to all of the winners. that is your 5@5:00. >> the obama administration is still facing criticism over the response to the deadly consulate attack in benghazi and a delay in calling it an act of terror. we have the latest details on that. >> good morning to you. there are so many questions about what the obama administration knew or didn't know about the attack on the u.s. embassy in benghazi, libya. that led to the death of ambassador chris stevens to help libya. what the obama administration did or didn't know about the attacks. one day after the attack she

told fox news it was an attack that wasn't previously plan but got out of control. then they said it was a pre-meditated attack. obama and senior advisor press secretary gibbs says why they are changing their story. >> no one intentionally or unintentionally misled people. that was an answer the press secretary gave on september the 14th it is now september the 23rd. we learn more information every day about what happened. no one wants to get to the bottom of this more than we do. >> the subject of debate between what is going on with the administration and the intel sgens. the chairman says the u.s. was caught flatfooted in this.

they stormed in and killed an ambassador and three other americans. >> this is as serious an event i have ever seen. it has been confusing to try to follow where the administration has been. i am disappointed he didn't say i am going to not go to the fundraiser. they deserve to tell the world we will not tolerate a u.s. ambassador being treated badly let alone killed. the fbi in washington is not commenting on the status of it's investigation they are on the ground but are not in benghazi. the libyan government itself has been conducting an investigation as well. it is time to take a look at who is talking. we are hearing from president obama and mitt romney and the president and his republican opponent sitting down with 60 minutes discussing the election foreign relations and their idea

of the economy. here is what president obama had to say about the job growth. >> the jobs plan the jobs bill isn't that your responsibility? >> i take full responsibility for everything but you are asking two questions. you are asking number one have i been able to get every plan that would work through a republican congress that says it's number one priority was beating me as opposed to helping the american people. there is no doubt i have been disappointed in trying to get more cooperation from those folks. that's something we have to continue to do. the second question you are asking, though, is has what we have done worked? the fact of the matter is what we have done has been effective in improving the situation in every area we are talking about. when i made a decision to save the auto industry that saved a

million jobs. 1 in 8 jobs in ohio is dependent on the auto industry. we have seen success. >> mitt romney talking about job creation describing his plans to get americans back to work. >> you are asking the american people to hire you as president of the united states. they would like to hear some specifics. >> i can tell them specifically what my policy looks like. i will not raise taxes on middle income folks i will not lower the share of taxes paid by high income individuals and i will make sure we bring down rates, we limit deductions and exemptions so we keep the progress in the code and encourage growth in jobs. >> the devil is in the details, though, what are we talking about the mortgage deduction the charitable de dushgs. >> the devil is in the details the angel is in the policy which is creating more jobs. >> later in the show we will hear from both men about the current state of their campaign.

it is a shocking new report that is how many personal files have been exposed by government agencies since 2009. the report from technology security from rapid 7 reveals there have been over 300 data breeches since 2009 that includes 78 instances of accidental breeches. personal information was also exposed 40 times because of hacking or mal wear. the number of breaches is likely much higher that says some states don't require agencies to report them reevenlt find cans from the government accountability office found 18 out of 24 major federal agencies had poor security control for personal data. >> the obama administration is about to hand over $197 million to another solar company despite a series of green energy failures. solo power will open up a $340 million facility in portland this thursday giving it access to the guaranteed loans. solar power also got over 56

>> welcome blacack. 44 after the hour. let's look at what's happening overseas. rescues are searching for three climbers missing after a deadly avalanche on a himalayan mountain yesterday. 11 people were killed none were americans. climbers say the avalanche may have been triggered by a huge piece of falling ice. in mexico over 31 tons of chemicals used to make designer drugs found on a ship at a western sea port. the ship just arrived from japan. the documents show it was allegedly carrying fertilizer. the chemicals were bound for a northwestern city home to an old drug cartel. finally to germany, thousands of people celebrating oktoberfest in their traditional bavarian outfit. the largest beer festival kicked off the 179th year this weekend.
